§ 1 · Search
Search requests
Search queries are processed on the server so results can be returned immediately. The site is built to work without accounts, and it does not require you to submit personal information in order to search for words or use the daily crossword.
§ 2 · Browser storage
Cookies and local storage
The site may use technically necessary browser storage for things like recent searches and normal site functionality. If you make a privacy choice in the site banner, that choice is stored locally in your browser so the banner does not reappear on every page load.

Third-party services
Crossword Path uses Google Analytics 4 with denied-by-default consent settings so the site can stay aligned with modern consent handling. If you accept analytics in the banner, analytics storage is granted and aggregate usage can be measured more fully. If you choose necessary-only storage, analytics storage remains denied.
Crossword Path can also load Grow by Mediavine for publisher and audience features. Grow is rendered into the raw page HTML so its own privacy and consent flow can work correctly; it is not controlled by the local Google Analytics consent toggle.
